Fimec is the only fair in the world that brings together the entire operation of the coureiro-calçadista sector in the same place, being the largest in Latin America. The 43rd edition will take place from 26 to 28 February 2019, in the pavilions of Fenac, in Novo Hamburgo/RS, in Brazil. One of the novelties will be Curtume 4.0, an unprecedented initiative that will allow visitors from different countries to visualize the operation of a tannery during the fair.
Curtume 4.0 will focus on what's most modern and advanced for the leather industry, allowing the market visitor the experience of visualizing the technologies and analyzing all the variables that make up the process. This opportunity will facilitate the analysis for possible investments and implementations in order to improve the productive process and business, eliminating waste and generating greater profitability.
The idea of inserting space in Fimec emerged from a debate between a group of entrepreneurs machine manufacturers associated with Abrameq, taking into account the relevance of the world-wide tanning sector. Curtume 4.0 will provide visitors with a clear view of the production process and the correct suitability of the machines. The concepts and innovations presented can be used in all tunaes, regardless of size. For exhibitors, it will be another way to present new technologies to visitors.
Another differential of Fimec is the Concept Factory, a space that shows the production of footwear in real time, with the aim of presenting to the visitor the applicability of the technological processes and products exposed in the event. In its last edition, Fimec brought together more than 500 exhibitors with professional and qualified audiences from more than 37 countries, with 14 of Latin America. One of the news of this year was the Fimec Forum, which due to success is already confirmed for the 2019 edition.
