With so many changes imposed by the Covid-19 period, the footwear sector was one of the most suffered in productivity and sales issues. Several readaptations and readequations were needed to design a better 2021. Based on this, the 45th FIMEC, which will take place between March 9 and 11, 2021, in the FENAC pavilions in New Hamburg, awaits the event.
With the theme "The only one that has everything to create tomorrow," the expectation is that the fair presents an increasingly thoughtful event for sustainability, the circular economy and, mainly, the behaviors that can be expected from an even unstable market. The concept caused by the circular economy is based on the changes in consumption combined with the practice of 5Rs: recycle, reuse, reduce and rethink.
With regard to logistics production, bets for the next edition are, as always, abuse of resources like leather and skins, merging with chemicals, components, innovation and technology. It is worth noting that the largest Latin American Fair was one of the only ones that did not suffer from the impact of Covid-19 on the 2020 edition, since the date was before the great outbreak.
Attractions and new challengesBefore official programming is released, the perspective for the edition of 2021 is that there will be the FIMEC Forum, where all the technological challenges and trends will be discussed for 2021 in the footwear sector. Another attraction confirmed for the next edition of the Fair is the Concept Factory, where are shown the making of footwear in real time, providing show the applicability of the technological processes developed in the products that will be present at the Fair.
Studio 10, another partner with confirmed presence, will address the social, economic and environmental concepts. The event is held through the partnerships of Fenac Experiences Conectam, Instituto Brasileiro de Tecnologia do Couro, Footwear e Artefatos (IBTec), in addition to Coelho Assessoria Empresarial.
