Calçadistas exported $80 million in March

Data from the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), elaborated by the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (Abicalcados), point out that in March, footwear exported 10.56 million pairs that generated US$ 79.77 million, 12.5% less than in the same month of 2015.

The largest exporter of footwear in Brazil is RS. Between January and March, gauchoes exported 6.46 million pairs for $96.4 million, both in revenue generated (from 9.5%) and in volume exported (44%) over the same period last year.
