Today the World Day of Photography is celebrated, due to its recognition, one of the most unusual inventions, and one of those responsible for revolutionizing humanity in the 19th century. But it was not only humanity that photography revolutionized. It also turned the world of economics, culture, art and other social spheres upside down. The choice of August 19 was made to pay a tribute to the daguerreotype, the predecessor of the photographic cameras. On that same date, in 1839, the French Academy of Sciences announced to the world the creation of a new equipment, which was developed by Louis Daguerre. This same year, another equipment that could capture images was invented by Willian Fox Talbot, the callotype. 1839 was characterized as a milestone for the invention of photography. It is still much discussed whether photography is or not an art. For there are those who say that it is not art due to ease of production, even more in the current days when anyone can photograph using the cell phone. However, there are also those who defend photography as art, because it can be considered as an interpretation of reality and not just a copy. The photograph is responsible for eternizing and recording moments. It covers several areas of our life and daily life, not to mention that it has the power to make us return in time and revive the moments recorded in it. By definition, photography is a technique for creating images through a luminous display on a photosensitive surface. In 1826 Joseph Nicéphore Niépce had his photograph recognized as the first in the world. It is impossible to define who invented photography, because several discoveries and studies carried out over the years allowed photography to reach the level we know today. The processes of revelation and fixation of the image are physical-chemical, in certain environmental conditions of lighting to chemicals. Due to these issues, many physicists and chemicals pioneered photography. The photograph was made in black and white since it was created. The first colored film to be produced was in 1907. The way to make photography is the same since its creation, but thanks to the technology and its advancements that it was possible to improve the photographic process, improve the quality of photos, increase sizes and resolutions and change colors.
