The Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (Abicalcados) announced in its last annual foreign trade report that the Mexican market raised its footwear purchases manufactured in Brazil for two digits in the year 2022. As revealed by the entity, between the months of January and December, footwear exports in Brazil to Mexico reached a value of over 20.1 million dollars, which in value represents an increase of 46.9% compared to the total accumulated in 2021, when the Mexican market invested 13.6 million dollars in Brazilian footwear. With regard to volume analysis, the Abilcaças report confirms that in 2022 entered Mexican territory just over 2.8 million pairs of Brazilian footwear, value 17.5% higher than that recorded in 2021, when they entered 2.3 million pairs. With these results, Mexico positioned itself as the 12th overall destination of Brazilian footwear in the year and the 9th at regional level.
