The fair coordinator, Kitty Schmitt, celebrated the event's confirmation and told a little about the backstage of Fimec: "We'll be back together at Fimec 2022 to show the strength that the coureiro-calçadist sector has. We are doing great deals, resuming strategic contacts and nothing like a big fair that brings together every sector to show this strength." The CEO of Fenac, Marcio Jung, highlighted that the 45th edition of Fimec will be an event for anyone to stay out. This is because the fair is recognized as the only one in the world that brings together the entire operation of the coureiro-calçadista sector in the same place. "We at Fenac look forward to a great visit of freshmen and tanners from Latin American producing countries, who traditionally seek technology and innovation in Fimec. In 2022, it will be a special year with the presentation of new technologies aimed at sustainability, with more economic machinery and processes in relation to raw materials and energy consumption," Jung said. Silvio Hernandes Torres, director of sales and market development of Covestro, one of the sponsors and exhibitors confirmed for the event, stressed the competitive potential of the fair, as well as the differentials of the event: "Fimec is a benchmark that brings together the main players of the market and brings the opportunity to present to the Brazilian and Latin American market the newest technologies available worldwide, mainly focusing on circular economy and sustainability".
