Micam Milano, the world's largest flagship fair, which took place between the 16th and 19th of September in Milan/Italy, brought more than US$30 million profit to the 71 participating Brazilian brands. Brazilian participation was supported by Brazilian Footwear, an incentive program for footwear exports maintained by the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (Abicalcados) in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brasil).
More than 1.4 thousand contacts were provided with buyers from the world's leading markets, which was highlighted by Brazilian exhibitors. Also, the expected turnover was 12% above the record of the show of the same period last year, which had already been positive. Visitors were more interested in Brazilian products, willing to increase the range of products in their stores. Source: Abicaladas
