The shipments of Brazilian footwear, from January to August this year, recorded 76.66 million pairs, which generated $644 million high of 8.2% in volume and 2.5% in revenue before the same period of 2019. One of the reasons was the appreciation of the dollar, which leaves the price of Brazilian footwear more competitive abroad. Because the costs of the industries are in real, when the dollar values, there is the possibility of forming lower prices. Data from Abicalcados indicate that, in August, the average price of the product sent abroad was $8.24, while in the same month of 2018 was $9.10. Such facts explain the first position of the United States in the ranking of Brazilian exports. The movement is expected and should continue to take place by the end of the year, especially due to the trade war between the United States and China, which has faced the Asian product with extra import tariffs. As expected, the second place in the Brazilian podium is occupied by Argentina, despite the internal crisis. In August, the Argentines imported 1.12 million pairs, for which they were paid $11 million. With this, in the accumulated eight months, the country adds the import of 5.76 million pairs and $65.73 million. Source[] Francal
