The so-called Industry 4.0 or 4th Industrial Revolution encompasses technologies for automation. It is expected that with it at least 30 new professions will be created over the years, benefiting 8 different areas. Some of the sectors that will undergo such changes are: automotive, food and beverages, civil construction, textile and clothing, information and communication technology, machinery and tools, chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas. A survey conducted by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), showed that only 9% of companies are at an advanced level of scanning. With this, the expectation is that by 2020 this percentage passes to 72%. According to a survey by the Brazilian Industrial Development Agency (ABDI), when adopting the concepts of Industry 4.0 in the Brazilian productive matrix it would be possible to generate an economy of R $ 73 billion annually. In line with the 30 new professions that can be created, ABDI believes that equipment maintenance is the most capable of benefiting. The cost and repair reduction can reach R$ 35 billion per year.
